Locals Continue to 'Like' Hastings Online

HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – Facebook continues to be a premier tool to learn more about local businesses, departments, restaurants and other establishments in town.  Facebook pages in Hastings have continued to expand with many of the local pages gaining even more popularity recently.  The Daily Hastings took a look at which pages were the most popular in the village and how many people have recently become fans.

At the top of the pile is the Facebook page devoted to the Village of Hastings itself, with 702 likes and 53 check-ins.  The number of people that like that page has increased by 35 since the last time we took a look in August.  The page is a central location for many other local pages.  People are checking into Hastings locations on their smartphones or laptops and many are listing Hastings as the town along with the restaurant, such as Maud’s Tavern, which has 267 likes itself.

Friday Night Live is always a popular night in Hastings, which is why it comes as no surprise that FNL’s Facebook page has a whopping 564 likes.  This page is the go-to spot for all information on the event, photographs from past events and details on upcoming nights in the village.

The Hastings Parks and Recreation Department always has a strong Facebook following and now has 468 likes, which is up 19 from the last time we looked.  The recreation department has used its page to promote events.  Everything from registration forms to further information on programs can be found on this page, which helps make it one of the most liked pages in Hastings.

Coming in with 159 likes is The Daily Hastings’ own Facebook page.  Since launching in Hastings earlier this summer, The Daily Hastings has worked to post the local stories you care about throughout the day on our page.  If you’re not a fan already, be sure to like the page and help increase our presence in the community.
