HASTINGS-On-HUDSON, N.Y. -- Residents are upset that the A&P grocery store is slated to close on Wednesday in Hastings-On-Hudson, according to hudsonvalley.news12.com.
Shoppers say that even though there are grocery stores in the nearby villages of Dobbs Ferry and Ardsley, losing their local store is another blow to the area, especially to seniors, reported hudsonvalley.news12.com.
There was no word on what will happen to the store's employees at this point. Village officials say they don't have a buyer yet, but hope that it will be to another grocery store, said hudsonvalley.news12.com.
