HASTINGS-On-HUDSON, N.Y.-- Three-time Grammy award winning bassist, John Patitucci, will lead his band in a benefit concert on Sept. 14 to raise money for Hastings Helps the Hungry and The Sharing Communit.
The concert will be at The First Reformed Church, 18 Farragut Ave. in Hastings at 4 p.m. Tickets ft can be purchased in advance for $15 at brownpapertickets.com or at the door for $20. Children are admitted free. Seating will be limited.
Patitucci, a Rye resident, has released thirteen solo records as a bandleader and, in addition to winning three Grammy awards, has more than 15 Grammy nominations.
Patitucci will lead a lineup of musicians including pianist Jon Cowherd, guitarist Jay Azzolina, drummer Nate Smith, and vocalist Ruth Naomi Floyd.
Patitucci has been a member of the Wayne Shorter Quartet for more than thirteen years and has performed all over the world.
A silent auction will also be held to benefit The Sharing Community, a not-for-profit that operates the largest soup kitchen in Westchester County.
