Friday Night Live to Bring Halloween to Hastings

HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – With Halloween fast approaching, Friday Night Live returns to give local residents a little taste of the upcoming holiday.  On Friday, Oct. 14, the street festival returns to Hastings to kick off the Halloween season and will run from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The event is set to feature a costumes sale, Halloween balloons, face painting and a chocolate fountain provided by the Girl Scouts.  There will even be a time for kids to make their own haunted candy houses.  All you need to make your own haunted candy house is to bring a clean milk or juice container, a can of icing and the candy and cookies will be provided on Friday.

To help end the event in style, the James Harmon Community Center will host musical guest Catie Curtis, with special guest Susan Kane.  Tickets for the show are $20 in advance or $25 at the door, while kids under 12 are free.
