Vehicle Slams Into Trees In Hartsdale, Driver Hospitalized
A driver was hospitalized after crashing into a wooded area on the side of a road in Westchester. The crash happened on Monday, Jan. 27 just after 10 p.m. on Ridge Road in Hartsdale, the Hartsdale Fire Department said. Arriving fire crews had to pull the trapped driver from the vehicle before transporting them to a nearby hospital. More information about the crash was not immediately available.

Flu activity remains high and is increasing across many parts of the country. For the week ending Saturday, Jan. 18, 25 percent of tests returned positive for flu, up from 19 percent the previous week, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The US Geological Survey said a 3.8 magnitude earthquake shook much of the Northeast on Monday, Jan. 27. The quake occurred at 10:45 a.m. and was initially reported as a 4.1 on the Richter scale. Its epicenter was located near York Harbor, approximately seven miles off the coast of Maine and about 13 miles underground. A man accused of threatening to kill President Trump has been apprehended following a tip to federal authorities. The investigation began on Inauguration Day on Monday, Jan. 20, after a tip to the FBI National Threat Operations Center reported violent online posts targeting the former president. A Hudson Valley woman is facing homicide charges after a toddler died in a hot car. Sarah Carter, 34, of Monticello, was indicted for criminally negligent homicide by a Sullivan County jury on Friday, Jan. 24.
