Retired Dobbs Ferry Bookkeeper, Allan Dies at 100

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – Margaret Allan of Dobbs Ferry, formerly of Tarrytown, died Oct. 5 at the age of 100. 

A retired bookkeeper for Consolidated Rail Corporation, she was born in Danbury, Conn. Allan is survived by her daughter Judith Braatz of Clark Green, Penn., her grandsons Dr. Timothy Braatz of Waverly, Penn. and Daniel Braatz of Stamford, Conn., and her great-grandchildren Amanda Braatz, Valerie Braatz, Brendan Braatz and Julia Braatz. She was predeceased by her husband, Douglas Allan.

A funeral service will be held at Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home in Dobbs Ferry at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Susan B. Komen Cancer Research Fund, P. O. Box 650309 Dallas, TX 75265.
