HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. --Though not officially open -- that will happen on Wednesday, Dec. 7--  Boro6 wine bar is participating in the annual Hastings pub crawl, taking place Friday, Dec. 2 form 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Hastings resident Jennifer Aaronson, who owns the wine bar with her husband, Paul Molakides, said it will be the first time Boro6's doors will be open to the public. (See earlier Daily Voice story HERE.) During the pub crawl, they will be serving their two house crostinis and a flight of either red or white wine.

The crostinis will be mini versions of two of their sandwiches, each on toast bread -- one with tomato-balsamic spread, fresh mozzarella and prosciutto, the other with basil oil, fontina d'aosta and arugula.

Other participating restaurants include Juniper, The Mill, Saint George Bistro, Maud's Tavern, Forty North, Harvest on Hudson, Taim Falafel Shack and more. Go HERE for the full list.

The event is sponsored by Destination Hastings and also includes a train display, holiday sing along, hot chocolate and cookies sponsored by the Hastings VFW and special visitors (so bring your camera). Guests are encouraged to bring a new toy to the celebration that will be given to a child in need as well as socks, pajamas, and undershirts that will be given to veterans at Montrose Hospital.

The Fourth Annual Village Crawl also raises money for the area food pantry.

Said Aaronson of Boro6's first time participation:  "We are so excited to be launching the wine bar with this wonderful event for our Hastings friends and neighbors. We have had so many people stopping by as we put the final touches on our space- -- the positive response from the community has been incredible."
