Orange County Woman Charged With DWI After Crashing Into Ambulance, Police Say A Hudson Valley woman was charged with felony DWI after allegedly crashing into an ambulance while driving drunk. The crash took place in Orange County on Sunday, March 26 around 9:30 p.m., on westbound I-84 in the town of Montgomery. During the two-vehicle crash Ragi Hill, age 26, of the town of Wallkill, was driving a 2014 Acura TL when she hit the ambulance, said Trooper Steven Nevel. Nevel said during an investigation, troopers determined that Hill was impaired by alcohol and was arrested for driving while intoxicated. IDs Released For Three Found Dead Inside Area Home Three people found dead inside an area home after police received a request for a welfare check have been identified. The three victims in the Orange County incident - Michael Kenny, 57, Elizabeth Kenny 57, and Alison Miller, 28, all of the Town of Montgomery -were found in a home on Thursday, April 9, after the Town of Montgomery Police responded for the welfare check, said Investigator Steve Ragni. Ragni said that although the investigation is currently ongoing, it appears the three may have died from suspected drug overdoses.

Teen Charged With Rape, Attempted Strangulation Of 19-Year-Old Girl, Police Say A teen was arrested for allegedly raping and attempting to strangle a 19-year-old woman. Devon Austin Payne, of Cragsmoor in Ulster County, was arrested by Town of Montgomery Police following an investigation into the Wednesday, Nov. 6, sexual assault, said Town of Montgomery Police Investigator Stephen Ragni. Payne was charged with felony rape, felony strangulation, aggravated harassment, stalking, assault, and unlawful imprisonment, police said.  He was arraigned in the Town of Montgomery Court and remanded to the Orange County Jail.

ID Released For Man Killed In Head-On Crash With School Bus Police have released the name of a 39-year-old man killed during a head-on crash between a car and a school bus. Steve Diaz of Walden was killed around 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, on Route 52 between Harts Lane and Bel-Air Park in the Village of Walden in Orange County, said Town of Montgomery Police Officer David Gowans.  Diaz, who was entrapped in the car, was rushed to Newburgh Hospital where he was pronounced dead, officials said. There were no children in the bus at the time of the crash. The investigation into the crash is ongoing, Gowans said.
