A man who led police on a high-speed chase on several busy parkways in Westchester was caught after his vehicle suffered a flat tire, authorities said. The incident happened on Tuesday, April 18 around 9 a.m., when a Westchester County Police officer saw a black Mercedes driving at a high speed on the northbound Bronx River Parkway near the Cross County Parkway interchange. One person was killed after losing control of their vehicle and crossing into the opposite lane on a Northern Westchester highway, police said. On Tuesday, Dec. 27, a man driving a 2002 BMW 330I was traveling north on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Mount Pleasant north of Bradhurst Avenue when they lost control and entered the southbound lanes, according to state police. Be ready for possible travel delays in Westchester County. Road crews will close up to two northbound lanes on the Sprain Brook Parkway in the Town of Greenburgh on Wednesday, Sept. 7, according to the Department of Transportation. 3 Injured In 3-Vehicle Westchester Crash Involving Bus
Three people were injured during a three-vehicle crash involving a city bus in Westchester County. The accident occurred on Wednesday, Aug. 17, in Valhalla on Grasslands Road and the ramp from the Sprain Brook Parkway. Units arrived on the scene of the accident which also involved a bus and crews immediately assisted with patient care and packaging as well as taking care of a fluid spill, said Capt. Matt DiPrinzio of the Valhalla Fire Department Those injured were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, DiPrinzio added.

One person was killed during a fiery single-vehicle crash in Westchester County. It took place in the town of Greenburgh around 12:30 a.m., Sunday, Aug. 21 on the Sprain Brook Parkway. 28-Year-Old Man Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash In Area
Police are investigating a weekend crash that claimed the life of a Westchester man. It happened on Sunday, June 26 on the Sprain Brook Parkway in the town of Greenburgh. An initial investigation determined Zahid Sotero Vergara, age 28, of Harrison, was operating a 2010 Aprilia motorcycle southbound and lost control of his motorcycle while changing lanes, state police said. Vergara was rendered aid by responding Emergency Medical Technicians with Greenburgh Police EMS who transported him to Westchester Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
