Man Nabbed After Hudson Valley Chase In Stolen Vehicle, Police Say A Westchester man was arrested after fleeing from police and taking them on a chase along the Taconic State Parkway before crashing in a stolen vehicle. The incident took place in around 7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12. It began when the Real Time Crime Center broadcast an alert that a stolen Kia SUV was traveling on the Saw Mill River Parkway, said Kieran O'Leary, spokesman for the Westchester County Police. Two Public Works Employees Rescued After Boat Overturns In Croton River Two Croton Public Works employees were rescued by members from the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department after being stranded in the Croton River. The rescue took place a little after 9 a.m., Tuesday, April 30, when the department was notified of an overturned boat with two people in the water near the Croton River's Silver Lake Park, said the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department. Man On Top Of Sinking Boat Rescued In Hudson All hands were on deck - literally - as first responders rescued a man whose boat capsized in the Hudson River. The Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department received a report of the boater in distress off Croton Point at approximately 5:40 p.m. on Tuesday, leading to a water rescue involving several area first responders.
