20-Year-Old Skateboarder Seriously Injured In Hudson Valley Crash A skateboarder was critically injured after being hit by a car in Northern Westchester. Henry Alvarado, 20, of Harrison, was riding a skateboard in the westbound lane of Oregon Road in Cortlandt on Dec. 28, around 5:36 p.m. when he was struck by a 2008 Honda Accord, said New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks. Alvarado suffered serious injuries and was transported by emergency medical services to Westchester Medical Center in critical condition, Hicks said.  The investigation remains ongoing.

The incident happened around 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, when troopers responded to Oregon Road in Cortlandt after being called by Rafael V. Rockland Resident Charged With DWI In State Police Stops A Westchester woman who was in possession of crack cocaine was among 16 drivers in the Hudson Valley busted for alleged impaired driving over the weekend. Troopers from the New York State Police barrack in Cortlandt were called to Washington Street in Peekskill, where there was a report of a one-car crash.
