Six Residents From Area Accused Of Scamming $250,000 From Businesses Six Hudson Valley residents have been indicted by a grand jury in a wide-ranging fraud scheme that costs area businesses more than $250,000. Area Man Accused Of Defrauding State Workers’ Compensation Fund Out Of $33.7K A 56-year-old man has been accused of defrauding the state workers’ compensation fund out of more than $33,000, police say. Robert Marra, of Crawford in Orange County, falsely reported the extent of his injuries to his doctors and independent medical examiners, according to a collaborative investigation by the NYS Department of Financial Services, the Orange County District Attorney’s Office and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
