Lane Closures: Busy Roadway In Hudson Valley To Be Affected For More Than Week
Commuters are being warned that a major state route in Northern Westchester will soon be affected by lane closures. Starting on Tuesday, Feb. 14, one lane of State Route 9A in both directions will close between State Route 117 in Mount Pleasant and US Route 9 in Ossining, the New York Department of Transportation announced. The closures will be in effect on weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. until Wednesday, Feb. 22, weather permitting. The lane closures are being implemented to allow for roadway work.

Officials issued an alert about upcoming lane closures on a highway in Westchester County. The New York State Department of Transportation said motorists in Bedford should expect single- and double-lane closures on I-684 between Exit 6 (State Route 35) and Exit 5 (Saw Mill River Parkway) to facilitate sign work. Officials said the work is scheduled to take place at the following times: Southbound single- and double-lane closures on Wednesday, Aug. 10, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Northbound single-lane closures on Thursday, Aug. 11, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Lane Closures Announced For Stretch Of Taconic State Parkway In Hudson Valley
State officials announced that single- and double-lane closures are planned for a stretch of the Taconic State Parkway in Westchester County. The New York State Department of Transportation said the lane closures will be between Exit 11 (State Route 134) and Exit 13 (Underhill Avenue) in Yorktown. Officials say the closures are set for 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Mondays through Saturdays beginning Tuesday, July 12, through Saturday, Oct. 29. The closures will be implemented to facilitate bridge painting, according to the announcement.

The New York State Thruway Authority is advising motorists to expect lane closures and traffic stoppages due to the removal of a pedestrian bridge over the Thruway in the Hudson Valley. Officials said the removal of the bridge on I-87/I-287, which links the Sloatsburg and Ramapo service areas in Rockland County, will lead to traffic stops in both directions the nights of Monday, Dec. 13, Tuesday, Dec. 14 and Wednesday, Dec. 15. There will be weekday lane closures for more than a week on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Orange County. Lane Closures Scheduled For New Tappan Zee Bridge
Lane closures have been scheduled near the new Tappan Zee Bridge as contracting crews continue work overnight. Tappan Zee Constructors (TZC) is scheduled to re-stripe the westbound lanes near the new bridge beginning on Friday night, Jan. 19 requiring lane closures on I-87 and I-287.
