Vehicular Homicide: Spring Valley Man Charged In Hit-Run That Killed Driver On GSP Police have arrested a Rockland County man who they said was responsible for a hit-and-run crash that killed a 77-year-old motorist on the Garden State Parkway a year and a half ago. Christopher Forrest, age 26, was charged with vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of a crash resulting in the death of Dutchess County resident Howard Perlman on June 17, 2021, according to records obtained by Daily Voice. Forrest, of Spring Valley, was recklessly driving a BMW that clipped Perlman's Toyota Venza in the area of milepost 172.3 in Montvale shortly after 7 p.m., New Jersey State Police said. …

Former Town Supervisor In Hudson Valley Who Was Longtime Designer For IBM Dies A former supervisor of a Hudson Valley town who was a longtime mechanical designer for IBM has died. Louis Foscaldi, a resident of Highland, New York, and Vero Beach, Florida, died on Wednesday, July 20 at age 91, according to his obituary.  He was born in the Bronx and was a graduate of DeWitt Clinton High School. Foscaldi served in the United States Marine Corps from 1952 through 1954, his obituary said.  He went on to study mechanical engineering and work at IBM as a mechanical designer until 1991.
