Forum On Public Shooting Preparedness Will Be Held In Port Jervis Residents or businesses concerned about being caught in an "active-shooter" event, an upcoming event sponsored by local police agencies will offer life-saving techniques. Hosted by the Port Jervis Police Department, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, and the Town of Deerpark Police Department, the seminar will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 2 at the Erie Hotel’s Trackside Manor, 1 Jersey Ave., Port Jervis.  The seminar will go over life-saving techniques to utilize in the case of a public shooting and will cover three separate topics on how to react.  The first topic will be o…
