Rockland HS Student Auditions For 'American Idol'

NEW CITY, N.Y. -- Clarkstown North High School student Harrison Cohen, who apparently used his youthful charisma to great effect on "American Idol" judge Jennifer Lopez, sailed through his audition and has a golden ticket to Hollywood, according to media reports.

Cohen, 17, impressed JLo, and the other judges -- Harry Connick Jr. and Keith Urban – with his smoldering glances and original song, “No Time,” during the Fox show in Philadelphia, which was televised Wednesday night.

Cohen, who attends Clarkstown North High School, played acoustic guitar and locked eyes with the actress, prompting Connick to make a teasing remark about the teen’s “laser-beam eyes.”

Clarkstown school officials congratulated Cohen on his performance in a post on the school district's website.
