The female called 911 around 3:20 p.m. to report that her ex-boyfriend had threatened them on East Gate Road and that the ex-boyfriend had a gun, said Sgt. Thomas Dolan.
The woman then left the area in a car and passed her ex-boyfriend, who was walking east on Viola Road. The victim pulled into the Suffern High School parking lot where she made the call to 911. The suspect did not enter Suffern High School grounds at any time, Dolan said.
The ex-boyfriend was stopped by Ramapo Police on Spook Rock Road and Viola Road where officers found he had a black BB gun tucked into his waistband, Dolan said.
He was arrested and charged with menacing, criminal possession of a weapon and harassment.
