Suffern Man Crashed Snowmobile Into Police Car, Cops Say

SUFFERN, N.Y. -- A 24-year-old Suffern man is facing criminal charges after crashing a snowmobile into a police car, according to authorities.

The man, whose name was not released, suffered a leg injury in the Saturday night crash near the intersection of Lonergan Drive and Temple Lane. In addition to crashing into the police cruiser, the 24-year-old also struck and then flipped over a parked car, police said.

The 24-year-old was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, police said. 

He was later charged with reckless endangerment, reckless driving, operating an uninsured and unregistered vehicle and a number of other traffic violations, police said.
