Suffern Man Choked Wife During Fight, Police Say

SUFFERN, N.Y. -- A 42-year-old Suffern man faces charges after he roughed up his wife during an argument, police said.

Anton Compas was charged with “obstruction of breathing” after his wife told authorities that he had pushed and choked her on Monday, Feb. 1, at their Hemlock Lane home, police said.

Compas fled the scene, but was arrested later after a warrant was issued, police said.
