At the unnamed suspect’s arraignment, the judge issued a temporary order of protection prohibiting him from returning to the store for six months, police said.
He is to return to the Village of Airmont Court in March to answer charges of petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.
On Tuesday, Feb. 9, police also investigated 10 accidents. They occurred on: Maple Terrace-Monsey, Maple Avenue-Monsey, Sterling Mine Road-Sloatsburg, W. Carlton Road-Tallman, Old Nyack Turnpike-Monsey, Haverstraw Road-Ladentown, Route 59-Airmont, S. Monsey Road-Airmont, Hedge Row Lane-Hillcrest, and New Hempstead Road.
One accident involved an injury, police said.
Ramapo police also responded to 129 calls for service: four medical emergencies, 11 alarm activations, and two fires.
