Ramapo Police Respond To 99 Calls For Service, Arrest Four

RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Ramapo police responded to 99 calls for service Sunday, handling four car accidents and making a number of unrelated arrests.

At 12:08 a.m., police responded to a Chestnut Ridge Road home on reports of a loud party with a "large amount of people," according to authorities.

Officers had responded to the home earlier in the evening and issued the host a verbal warning. When they returned again, they arrested her on suspicion of violating Chestnut Ridge village law, police said.

Town police made a number of other arrests, including one for harassment stemming from a domestic dispute, two for misdemeanor traffic offenses and one related to a third-degree assault in the village of Sloatsburg, according to authorities.

The car crashes that occurred Sunday happened on Maple Terrace in Monsey, Route 306 in New Hempstead and on North Airmont Road and Montebello Road in Montebello, according to police.

Investigators did not identify any of those arrested Sunday. No serious injuries were reported as a result of the car crashes.
