Police and medics from the William P. Faist Ambulance Corp responded to the Chestnut Ridge home to find the victim, whose identity was not released, according to police.
While police administered the treatment, which is designed specifically for those who have overdosed on heroin or other opioids, they were aided by the Faist medics and later a team from Rockland Paramedic Services, Inc., according to police.
The victim was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment and was expected to recover, police said.
