Ramapo Police Investigate Multiple Monday Accidents

RAMAPOR, N. Y. -- Ramapo Police officers had a busy Monday investigating nine accidents throughout town, in addition to 139 calls for police service.

Two of the nine accidents resulted in injuries, police said. The accidents were at the following locations:

  • Pascack Road at Hillcrest
  • Old Nyack Turnpike at Chestnut Ridge
  • Eastborne Drive at Chestnut Ridge
  • Orchard Street at Monsey 
  • Grandview Avenue at Viola;
  • Route 45 at Northeast Ramapo
  • Route 59 at Airmont
  • Main Street at Kaser (two accidents)

Police had another 139 calls, including two fires, eight medical emergencies and 31 alarm calls. 

Also, police made four arrests that involved charges of driving while intoxicated, driving while impaired with drugs and driving on a suspended license.
