Ramapo Police Arrest Trespassers At Quarry

RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Ramapo Police arrested five young adults for trespassing at the Town of Ramapo Quarry, which is located in the Village of Suffern.

They entered the property to swim in the flooded quarry pit but were arrested for trespassing and were released at the scene with appearance tickets for the Town of Ramapo Justice Court.

Ramapo police described the quarry as dangerous with unseen hazards in the flooded pit area and surrounding grounds. Violators will be arrested if found at the Quarry without authorization.
