Ramapo Police Apprehend Man Wanted By Suffern PD During Busy Day

RAMAPO, N.Y. – The Ramapo Police Department had a full of incidents Friday, including the arrest of a man who had an outstanding warrant out for his arrest in Suffern as part of a traffic stop.

Upon initiating the car stop, the officer recognized the front-seat passenger of the vehicle as having an outstanding arrest warrant from the Suffern Police Department.

After the arrest in Sloatsburg, police turned him over to Suffern authorities.

Other incidents investigated included four property-damage-only accidents in Chestnut Ridge, Hillcrest and Ramapo.

Overall, there were 115 calls for service on Friday, with seven medical emergencies, 19 alarm activations, two fire calls and three arrests, including vehicle and traffic incidents and an arrest warrant.
