The building, which was located near the Shopper's Haven Mall, had contained a forklift, propane tanks, and other materials, police said.

The supermarket, which is located on Orchard Street in the hamlet, was evacuated as a precaution, but no damage there or injuries were reported, police said.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Rockland County Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Ramapo Police Detective Bureau.
