RAMAPO, N.J. – The Ramapo Police Department dealt with a busy Saturday due to the Nor'easter including 12 car accidents.
One accident had a minor injury, and four were hit-and-run accidents. Two occurred on Saddle River Road-Chestnut Ridge, and two more occurred on Viola Road.
Only one arrest happened, for a domestic dispute between two brothers that ended with one being arrested for choking the other.
In total, there were 72 calls for service, including seven for medical emergencies not related to the weather.
