ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- Ramapo police saved another person suffering an opioid overdose with the help of Narcan.
The incident occurred Thursday when officers responded to a call for a possible drug overdose in the Village of Hillburn.
The responding officers were told by a female motorist that she had just picked up a male passenger who suddenly lost consciousness after getting into her car, police said.
Officers recognized that the male was suffering a drug overdose and quickly administered Narcan and as a result he regained consciousness.
