Man Arrested In Ramapo On DWI Charge After Knocking On Stranger's Door

RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Ramapo police arrested a Spring Valley man for driving while intoxicated after he knocked on the door of a Montebello home saying he was looking for his girlfriend, according to the Ramapo police.

The unidentified man was arrested around 10 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, after officers received a call from the area of Graniks Way of a suspicious male knocking on the door of a home, police said.

The homeowner said she did not know the man knocking at her door. The responding officer located the 33-year-old man and took him into custody after determining that he was driving while intoxicated and in possession of marijuana, police said.

He was processed and released without bail.
