Spring Valley has been without a village attorney, as well as a deputy attorney, for about a year. Delhomme selected Yodowitz, who has experience as a muncipal attorney in Suffern and Hillburn, but the board has been blocking the appointment, lohud.com says.

Three trustees abstained from voting on the appointment recently, meaning it was not confirmed. Delhomme and a few trustees have been at odds for several years, Lohud.com reports.
