Eduardo Najera, 34, was also given 20 years post-release supervision after pleading guilty to one count of felony rape in March, the DA's Office said.
“Today’s sentence is a measure of justice for the young victim in this case who endured a traumatic ordeal at the hands of the defendant," said Zugibe on Thursday.
Over a three-month period between June 1, 2015, and August 28, 2015, Najera engaged in two acts of forcible sexual intercourse with the victim in his residence, Zugibe said.
Executive Assistant District Attorney Stephen Moore prosecuted the case.
