Party Bus Crashes In Chestnut Ridge

CHESTNUT RIDGE, N.Y. --   A party bus driver was injured when he drove the bus off the road on Chestnut Ridge Road around 4:10 a.m. Friday, according to the Ramapo Police Department.

The driver, Daryl Gissel of Monsey,  was traveling east on the road when he hit an underpass wall and ran off the roadway, officials said.

The vehicle, a mid-size bus, had been converted into a camper, Lt. Mark Emma said.

Gissel was removed from the bus and transported to Westchester Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
