The 30-year-old, who can't feel anything below his upper chest, was one of four agents hurt when they were struck by another car that crossed the double-yellow line; that car's driver died, said Lohud.com.

Friends and family have been rallying around FitzGerald, who will soon be transferred to a rehabilitation hospital, and have created a gofundme page and a hashtag, #GarrettStrong, to offer support. So far, nearly $183,000 has been raised. Donations will be used to help cover his medical cost, added Loud.com.
