Car Pulled From Train Tracks In Suffern

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. --  An 81-year-old Suffern man became disoriented on Thursday and drove onto the railroad tracks at the Suffern Train Station, according to the Suffern Police Department.

Responding officers located the man whose car had become stuck on the southbound track with the driver still inside, police said.

The driver told officers he became disoriented and drove his car off the train platform at the Suffern Train Station then drove north on the tracks before getting stuck, police said.

 All trains were stopped for a short time while the vehicle was pulled off the tracks by a heavy duty tow truck, police added.

No one was injured during the event.
