Her posts have been instrumental in getting visitors to hike and visit the western Rockland communities.
She is a sports photographer, and founder of CharlieDog and Friends, a plush toy company that was built to assist homeless pets, and an avid hiker.
Allman writes about the park, a hiker's haven, and what it's meant to her and her two dogs, both shepherds.
Efforts lately include obtaining sponsorship for for the Tuxedo-Harriman Shuttle bus this summer, she said in an email exchange.
"I'm looking at outdoor retailers, large healthcare providers who see the health benefits of getting outside, and outdoor retailers and organizations," said Allman.
The shuttle bus, a non-profit privately-funded shuttle bus was "hugely popular" last year, and will start up again this spring.
Badges, T-shirts, posters and car stickers will be sold this year to help fund the shuttle in the park, and pay for "Don't Feed the Bears!" signage.
"Bears were especially active in the park last year." said Allman.
Other efforts involve her work with the Appalachian Mountain Club to help them roll out the new 140-bed camp and lodge in Harriman State Park.
An "Ales and Trails" event at the Tuxedo Train Station, to welcome the club to Harriman is planned, Allman related.
An event for families, "Big Old Campout," is planned to provide an introduction to camping. It will give participants "easy entry to the fun of sleeping outside," Allman said. Sponsors will provide tents, sleeping bags, etc.
