The Bad Boy Entertainment and Def Jam rapper was born Nov. 8 1979 and turns 38 on Tuesday.

He was born in in Belize City, Belize, where his father was the first black Prime Minister. He moved to Brooklyn to live with his mother when he was 8 and got into the hip hop culture in the 1980s and 1990s.

Barrow also lived for a short time in a boy's home in Spring Valley after childhood troubles with the law in Brooklyn. He quickly turned his life around playing football and doing well academically.

Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs signed him to Bad Boy Entertainment in 1998 after someone heard the teen freestyling in a barbershop.

He was featured on Mase's second album, "Double Up" (1999) and on Combs' debut album "Forever."

A high profile 1999 Manhattan nightclub shooting with Combs had him slapped with a murder charge that resulted in his 2001 conviction. He was at the top of the charts.

While at Clinton Correctional Facility, he signed a $3 million deal with Def Jam.

Following his 2009 prison release, he was immediately deported to Belize. Soon after, he moved to Jerusalem and converted to Orthodox Judaism. He also changed his name to Moses Levi.

His solo records include two studio albums, “Shyne,” which debuted in 2000, selling over 900,000 copies, and 2004's “Godfather Buried Alive,” which sold over 400,000 copies.

He presently lives in Belize where he aspires to be a politician.
