AIRMONT, N.Y. --Travel to the planets and moons of our Solar System at The Challenger Center in Airmont on the second Sunday of every month.
Explore the life cycle of stars, the ancient myths about the constellations in the sky, walk on the Moon like the Apollo astronauts and discover why Pluto is no longer considered a planet.
Following a one-hour planetarium show that includes a full-dome video as well, participants will take part in a one-hour hands-on astronomy-related project in the center’s activity room.
Tickets are $10/general and $5/seniors for its public planetarium shows. The shows are scheduled for the second Sunday of every month at 2:00 p.m.
Children younger than 9 years old may participate for $5 when paired with a paying adult family member.
The Challenger Center is on Route 59 in Airmont.
