A pair of crashes slowed down the evening commute on I-84 Thursday.
One crash that initially took out the right lane led to heavy delays eastbound at Route 52 (Exit 12) with stop-and-go traffic backed up to Route 9D (exit 11).
In Carmel, a crash reported just before 5 p.m., also on the eastbound side, tied things up at Route 311 (Exit 18).
