New Update: Police ID 20-Year-Old Victim Of Hudson Valley Crash Police have identified the 20-year-old Westchester man who was killed in a violent crash that left his passenger in critical condition. The crash took place around 11:40 p.m., Monday, July 3 at 1420 West Boston Post Road (Route 1) in the town of Mamaroneck. The driver who was killed was Anthony Diosdado, a resident of New Rochelle. The front-seat passenger, Andy Romeo Fuentes, age 18, also of New Rochelle, remains in critical condition at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, said Capt. One Dead, Two Critically Injured After Car Slams Into Utility Pole In Westchester One person was killed and two others critically injured after a vehicle hit a utility pole in Westchester and the vehicle burst into flames. The incident took place around 2:37 a.m., Sunday, April 11, in front of 1395 West Boston Post Road in the town of Mamaroneck. The vehicle, a 2003 Honda Accord, struck a utility pole and a fire engulfed the vehicle,  said Lt. James Maher of the Town of Mamaroneck Police Department. New Police Chief Appointed In Carmel The town of Carmel has a new police chief after a long search. The Town Board unanimously selected Anthony Hoffmann to the post, effective Monday, Jan. 4.  Hoffmann, who was one of five candidates interviewed, has worked in law enforcement for 22 years, starting with the New York City Police Department in 1998. He joined the Town of Mamaroneck Police Department in 2002 and was promoted to lieutenant in 2018. He will take over for former Police Chief Mike Cazzari who retired earlier this year.
