Red Hook Police Officer Rescues Overdose Victim A Red Hook police officer will be honored with a Life-Saving Award after reviving a Columbia County man who was overdosing in a car. The incident took place on Saturday, June 1, when Red Hook Officer James Simmons responded to a call on Route 9/Fraleigh Lane in the Town of Red Hook for an unconscious male slumped over the steering wheel not breathing, the department said on Facebook.
