Out-Of-Stater Nabbed With Gun After Calls About Suspicious Man In Area, Police Say
A 52-year-old man was arrested for criminal possession of a gun after police received calls regarding a man acting suspiciously. Troy Erhardt, of Arizona, was arrested around 12:43 p.m., on Friday, Jan. 22, after the City of Poughkeepsie Police responded to 11 Boulevard Knolls for a report of a man with a gun walking in the area and acting in a suspicious manner. Officers located and detained Erhardt after finding a loaded handgun which was secured by officers, Poughkeepsie PD Det. Sgt. George Camacho. Police Investigate Incidents Of Man Having Suspicious Contact With Children
An investigation is underway after two incidents of a man having suspicious contact with children were reported to police. The New York State Police, Rhinebeck Police Department, and the Red Hook Police Department are investigating the incidents that happened in Dutchess County on Tuesday, Jan. 28 in the towns of both Rhinebeck and Red Hook. In both cases, a man was described as older, short in stature and with gray facial hair. One witness believes the subject was operating a blue pickup truck, possibly a Chevrolet, state police said. Report Of Suspicious Behavior Leads To Lockout At Mount Pleasant Central School District
A report of suspicious behavior caused a lockout at the Mount Pleasant Central School District on Monday, May 13. "At approximately 10 a.m, the district was notified by Mount Pleasant Police that a person was in custody due to suspicious behavior," Dr. Kurtis Kotes, Superintendent of Schools, said in an email sent shortly before 10:30 a.m. "They have updated us on the situation and informed us that the person is a non-threat and has been cited for hunting in an unauthorized area.
