Man From Region Caught Burglarizing Tattoo Shop By Employee, Police Say A 34-year-old man from the region was nabbed after he allegedly broke into an area tattoo studio. The incident took place in Sullivan County in the town of Liberty around 9:40 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11 at the City Lights II Tattoo Studio on Route 52. According to Sullivan County Undersheriff Eric Chaboty, the sheriff's department responded to the studio after receiving a report of a burglary in progress. The Village of Liberty Police arrived on the scene first and detained the suspect for the responding deputies, Chaboty said. Deputies arrested Byron T. Santiago, age 34, of Woodbourne. …

Missing Man Found Dead Living In Region Under Assumed Name, Police Say A longtime Connecticut resident from Northern Fairfield County who has been missing since 2013 has been found dead in an upstate New York apartment living under a different name. On Monday, July 29, 2013, officers from the Newtown Police Department received a call to check on Robert Hoagland as he failed to pick up a family member from the airport, said Newtown Police Lt. Scott P. The crash took place in Sullivan County around 9 a.m., on Monday, Nov. 28 on Route 17B in White Lake. Sullivan County Sheriff's deputies responding to the crash found a 2020 Toyota RAV 4 driven by Dutchess County resident Angela Theodoseau, age 30, of Wappingers Falls, had crossed the double yellow line into the path of a westbound Mack dump truck, said Sullivan County Undersheriff Eric Chaboty. Hudson Valley Man Behind Bars After Upstate Heroin Bust A White Plains man was busted for having 67 bags of heroin and other drugs during a traffic stop by Sullivan County Sheriff's deputies. Mykell Gray, 37, was arrested around 3 p.m. Sat., Dec. 30, after deputies stopped his vehicle for a violation on Route 42 in the Town of Thompson, said Sullivan County Undersheriff Eric Chaboty. During the stop, the deputy uncovered the heroin, in addition to 24 bags of crack cocaine and three cellphones, Chaboty said.
