This story has been updated. COVID-19 may claim its latest victim: the tradition-rich New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Officials have said it's likely the parade, which was scheduled for Tuesday, March 17, will be canceled due to concerns of coronavirus, which has rapidly been spreading throughout New York. Metro-North Issues St. Patrick’s Day Booze Ban
Irish eyes will be smiling throughout the area during St. Patrick’s Day on Saturday, though not as much on any Metro-North Railroad lines, where booze is banned on one of the busiest drinking days of the year.
