'Go-To-Guy': Patrol Officer Of Putnam County Sheriff's Office Dies A sheriff's office in the Hudson Valley has announced the death of one of its own.  Special Patrol Officer Timothy J. Stewart of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office died on Monday, Jan. 30, leaving behind his wife and son, the Sheriff's Office announced.  Stewart joined the Sheriff's Office after spending 29 years with the City of New York Police Department, which he retired from in 2019 as a detective.  He then spent years stationed at the Putnam County Office Building, where he was known for giving a "welcoming hello" to the building's visitors, the Sheriff's Office sa…
