Video: Car Fire Breaks Out On Route 6 In Putnam A busy Putnam County intersection was temporarily shut down on Thursday night as firefighters battled a blaze that broke out in a car. Firefighters from the Brewster Fire Department were dispatched to Route 6 at the intersection of Simpson Road in Brewster at approximately 10 a.m. on Friday night, where there was a car fully engulfed in flames. Crews quickly went to work, knocking down the flames and dousing the destroyed car with water before clearing the scene.
