Woman Busted Following Investigation Into Drug Sales In Area, Police Say An area woman was busted following an investigation for alleged narcotics sales in the area. Dutchess County resident Ashley Sniffen, age 32, of Amenia, was busted on Wednesday, March 24, by the Dutchess County Drug Task and the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office following an investigation into drug sales in the Harlem Valley area, said Frank Tasciotti, assistant coordinator of the task force. Sniffen was taken into custody on Route 343 in the town of Amenia and was found to be in possession of more than 140 bags of heroin/fentanyl and several rocks of crack cocaine, Tasciotti …

Alert Issued For 17-Year-Old Boy Who Has Gone Missing In Area A 17-year-old boy has gone missing in the area and authorities are asking the public's help in locating him. The New York State Police from the Dover Plains barracks are searching for Leonardo Pop Ba, a runaway last seen at his residence on Route 343 in the town of Amenia.  He is 5-foot-4, about 140 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. He was placed with a non-relative foster home in 2018. An investigation revealed Leonardo left his foster home sometime in September 2019. Two Store Clerks Charged With Selling Alcohol In Dutchess Underage Drinking Detail Two store clerks have been charged following an underage drinking detail conducted by New York State Police. State Police carried out plain-clothes checks of 16 different Dutchess County retailers that sell alcohol on Saturday, April 27. These checks were conducted to ensure the retailers’ compliance with New York State’s Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) laws.
