Bus Monitor Strikes, Threatens Middle Schooler In Putnam, Sheriff Says A school bus monitor was arrested and charged with striking and threatening a Putnam Valley Middle School Student on Jan. 11. Joseph Masi, a 65-year-old Cortlandt Manor resident, was arrested by the Putnam County Sheriff's Office and charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a Class A Misdemeanor and harassment in the second degree, a violation after he struck an 11-year-old in the face and threatened to knock him out.
