The incident happened just before 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21 in Poughkeepsie in the area of 55 Washington St. Officers responded to a report of multiple shots fired opposite Poughkeepsie City Hall. No gunshot victims were found but property damage was observed, and officers were informed of a vehicle that had fled the scene, Poughkeepsie PD Det. Sgt. Officer Injured Attempting To Arrest Shoplifter At Area Store, Police Say A police officer was injured during a confrontation with an alleged shoplifter at a Dollar General store. The incident took place around 12:24 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 12, at the Dollar General at 534 Main St., in the City of Poughkeepsie. When the officer attempted to place the suspect, Romairo Stroman, 40, of Hyde Park, into custody, he pushed the officer to the ground injuring the officer,  said Poughkeepsie PD Det. Lt. Matt Clark. Suspect Apprehended In Fatal Shooting Of Poughkeepsie Teen A suspect is in custody after a teen was shot and killed in an overnight shooting in the City of Poughkeepsie. A 911 call placed around 12:10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19 reported a man down in front of 400 Main St. Responding officers the 18-year-old City of Poughkeepsie resident, who formerly lived in Queens. with a significant injury to his head.  He was transported to MidHudson Regional Hospital where the wound was confirmed to be a gunshot wound.
