Woman Admits To Stealing Nearly $94K Worth of Handbags With Accomplices In Hamptons
A woman pleaded guilty to grand larceny for her part in stealing $94,000 in handbags from a luxury retail store in the Hamptons.
Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond Tierney announced the guilty plea of Baseemah Davis on Tuesday, Aug. 16, for stealing from the Balenciaga store in East Hampton in March.

21-Year-Old Charged With Attempted Murder Of Teen In Area, Police Say
A 21-year-old local man has been arrested for the shooting of a teen last year during an attempted robbery.
Carl Hannan, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested on Tuesday, March 30, for the shooting which took place on Thursday, Feb. 13, at 1:05 a.m., in the City of Poughkeepsie, said Det. Lt. Matt Clark of the City of Poughkeepsie Police.
Clark said the then 17-year-old male was shot at multiple times, and hit once during an attempted robbery, while in an alley by 71 Garden Street in the City of Poughkeepsie.

Westchester Man Flees From Police For Having Expired Tag, Pills, Police Say
A Northern Westchester man was arrested after allegedly fleeing from police and resisting arrest after failing to stop for having an expired tag.
Michael Goldberg, age 29, of Yorktown, was arrested on Sunday, Feb. 21, after Yorktown police spotted him driving with a suspended registration, police said.
According to police, instead of stopping, Goldberg fled at a high rate of speed and when finally caught on Hedge Street where he stopped, Goldberg resisted arrest and was found to have an active warrant and to be in possession of Alprazolam pills.
