2 Injured, Including Motorcyclist, In Hudson Valley Crash
Two people were injured during a Hudson Valley crash when a car allegedly turned in front of a motorcycle.
The collision took place in Rockland County in Orangeburg around 5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 14 at the intersection of West Orangeburg Road and Hunt Road.
According to Capt. Michael Shannon of the Orangetown Police, a 2020 Nissan Altima four-door sedan, driven by Frantzley Gouboth, age unknown, of Haverstraw, was traveling west on West Orangeburg Road.

Hudson Valley Resident Mowing Lawn Struck, Killed By Car Driven By Impaired Man, Police Say
A 53-year-old Hudson Valley man mowing his lawn was killed after being struck by a car being driven by an impaired driver, police said.
It happened in Rockland County on Wednesday, July 15 at about 5:45 p.m. in Orangeburg.
A 2010 Toyota Corolla, operated by Jared S. DeVera, 29, of Englewood, New Jersey, was traveling southbound on Lester Drive, when the vehicle veered off the roadway and struck a man later identified as Giovanni Boiano, of Orangeburg, Orangetown Police said.

Three people are facing charges after a traffic stop near the Palisades Parkway led to the discovery of drugs, police say.
New York State Police in Haverstraw conducted a traffic stop on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Orangeburg on Thursday, March 14.

Death Of Worker Caught In Cheese Mixing Machine Ruled Accidental
The death of a 41-year-old worker who was caught in a cheese mixing machine has been ruled accidental, police said.
Orangetown Police said Edwin Nunez was found dead around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, inside a mixing machine at ICCO Cheese Co. in Orangeburg.
Nunez, who died of blunt impact and crushing injuries, had worked for the company, which makes grated cheese and bread crumbs, among other items, for about 18 months, according to the Orangetown Police. He was a resident of Paterson, New Jersey.
